Let the Sunshine In

SOMEWHERE FEELING BOUNTY FRESH AND ZESTFULLY CLEAN (TL) -- Spring cleaning time here at TL. I decided the site's previous incarnation, while appropriate for the Dark Ages of the Bush Administration, was a tad dour for current times. 

And so I've wiped the frown off my face in exchange for a cautiously optimistic glance at the future and added some color to the proceedings.

Tomorrow, I might even add something worth reading!

They Voted Against It, Before They Were For It...

SOMEWHERE FINDING IT HARD TO BELIEVE (TL) -- President Obama signed the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law today. Recall, as they scurry home to tout the new projects in their individual states, that Republicans voted against doing anything.

In fact, it's good to recall Republican fiscal wisdom from time to time. 

Knuckleheads, I tell ya.

SOMEWHERE TAXED (TL) - Here's a mystery: Why is anyone listening to what Republicans have to say about the economy and the stimulus package?

As the President said today:

"So let me be clear:  Those ideas have been tested, and they have failed."

I'd rather have this kid draft the stimulus package than any Republican...
